Insurance Estimator


We are looking for an experienced Insurance Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent report writing and communication skills.

Duties and responsibilities
You will utilise your previous insurance experience to support the administration of the customerservice and insurance claims.
 

Your responsibility

  • Responsible for attending sites, preparing site reports and quotations.
  • Supervising trades on sites, ensuring each job is completed to high standard whilst providing the highest level of customer service to our clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, insurance companies and tradespeople both verbally and in writing.
  • Preparation of reports and quotes for submission to insurance companies.
  • Dispute / issue resolution as required.
  • Updating company database and external databases as required.
  • Full time position.
  • Providing coverage for Sydney, Gosford and Broken Hill.
  • Willing to travel.
  • Report directly to the National Manager.
  • Estimating and managing small to medium sized insurance repairs.
  • Requires a high level of customer service, communication and computer skills.

Skills and experience
To be successful in this role you will have to provide excellent customer service and successfully manage customer expectations and complaints. Your administrative and organisational skills are vital to ensure all tasks are managed correctly, clearly communicated and recorded against the project. Applicants must be able to work without supervision, as well as in a team oriented collaborative environment. You will also have excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to
build strong relationships with our clients.

Key experience

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with Carpentry or a related trade background experience in estimating, scheduling and supervising trades and repairs (insurance related is preferred).
  • A working knowledge of Australian Standards and Tolerances and WH&S.
  • Previous experience with scoping and report writing is essential.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure the highest quality of finishes from your trade team.
  • Excellent computer skills in all Microsoft products.
  • A high level of communication with different stakeholders and staff is required in order to be successful within this role.

excellent communication skills.
