Project Manager – Insurance (NSW & QLD)


We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our team to manage insurance claims (must be willing to travel). The successful candidate must be able to work independently and maintain exceptional client communication throughout all stages of the project.

Duties and responsibilities
Reporting into the Ezy Project Team Manager, we are seeking a customer focused, self-motivated, well organised team member with building knowledge and report writing skills. The Project Manager will manage building works to ensure they are completed on time, within budget and compliant according to relevant insurance and legislative standards. Working across multiple projects within surrounding areas your responsibility will include:

  • Working within National insurance company guidelines and meeting KPI's associated with each claim.
  • Manage all works in progress (WIP) within specified time frames.
  • Assess storm damage claims and provide a detailed report and Scope to estimating team.
  • Provide regular claim / job status updates.
  • Manage our client’s expectations at all times.
  • Assign trades and resources to each claim / job.
  • Allocate, monitor and update progress status of all claims / job within Ezy Projects insurance platform.
  • Complete all job summary sheets within Ezy Projects database.
  • Liaise with Internal Assessors, trades and all clients with regards to the claim and Scope of Works.
  • Manage internal and external team members.

Skills and experience
To be considered for this role you will need to:

  • Have over 5 years’ experience and knowledge in all areas of building project management including through residential construction knowledge - trade qualified.
  • Possess exceptional people management skills.
  • Have excellent project management skill and able to manage all aspects of medium - large projects through to completion in accordance with Australian Building Codes and relevant legislative requirements, time frames and budgets.
  • Be an efficient manager.
  • Have excellent time management, organisational and administrative skills.
  • Be able to use building platform is a requirement.
  • The successful candidate will have the willingness to develop, learn new skills, train junior project managers, be adaptable to new environments and to grow within the company.
  • Have a good understanding of insurance company process and policies will be highly regarded.
